H-A-double L-O-double U-double E-N! It's that time again! Time to dress up and gorge on candy and get drunk, not necessarily in that order. And once again it's time for the annual Bal Masque at Nepenthe, the biggest baddest maddest costume party on the Central Coast. People plan their costumes for months. Two years ago I went as the '80s, last year I was a tragic beauty queen (Miss Diagnosed), and this year...I'm a pirate. ARRRR!

We carved pumpkins and watched seasonally appropriate movies like The Shining & Freddy vs. Jason & Rocky Horror. And finallyfinallyfinally we went and saw Wallace & Gromit!! Eeeeee! Gromiiiiiit! IT ROCKED SO HARD. I didn't count on it being so damn funny, but it really really was. Hilarious. I loved it.
The Shining apparently gave several other people nightmares, but I am now immune to that movie thanks to the Simpsons.
