I am reporting to you LIVE from Las Vegas, City of Sin. Nellie & I are in our hotel room at the Imperial Palace, home of the DEALERTAINERS. The Dealertainers are blackjack dealers dressed up as celebrity musicians, who at random intervals leap up onto a little stage and belt out a song. So we come out of the elevators and look! It's Billy Idol! Or Janet Jackson! Or Little Richard! Our room looks over the Strip and is very unfortunately poised directly over the outdoor dance club at Harrah's, which means we get to listen to their live band butchering such classics as "Baby Got Back" late into the night.
This afternoon we went to the Liberace Museum, and it was all that I dreamed of AND MORE. The whole place was staffed by little old ladies. Our tour guide (also a little old lady) was possibly intoxicated. We were the youngest people in the tour group by at least 20 years. We saw Liberace's capes, some of which weigh OVER 200 POUNDS and are worth $750,000. We gazed upon the wonder that is the World's Largest Rhinestone (which we were told is "priceless"). It was amazing.
We're going to go eat dinner now, and then go roam the Strip some more. Then we're going to Studio 54 in the MGM. Ha ha! More later.
