life's little ups and downs
Work is killing me this week. Today was the day I admitted to myself--and my boss--that I cannot do it all. Nope. Can't be done. I'm already working ridiculously long hours and I *still* couldn't get this report in on time. Not only did I miss the original deadline, but the extended deadline that I begged for. And not only is the report in question not done, it's not even started yet. WHOOPS. Grah. So, yeah, I was not exactly on top of the world today.
...but then House made it allllll better. OMG SO AWESOME. Multiple overlapping interlocking storylines + painful revelation of Dark & Tortured Past (TM) = eeeee! Lovelovelove that show. If Hugh Laurie doesn't win an Emmy this year...*shakes fist threateningly*.
But seriously, what is it with the Dark & Tortured Past (TM)? Who do all my favorite characters have one? Is it because it lends the character depth? Makes them more intriguing? Or is it because when they're angsting about their dead sister/son/muscle tissue they're TOTALLY HOT? I dunno.
