Note the use of the phrase "proven scanning probe performance and reliability" (which should also have an en-dash between 'scanning' and 'probe', to alleviate the ambiguity as to whether it's on about scanning-probe performance, or scanning probe-performance ... or even proven-scanning probe-performance). Anyway. The description used to say "heating and cooling", rather than just "heating", as it does now ... that ammendment was, in part, thanks to our lab. I might see how many more phrases I can make them remove from the description. I may have some luck with the "high vacuum" ... "reliability" shouldn't be too much of a challenge, either.
There was a better page, which included the phrase "no-fuss, high-performance tool". I think I pointed out that this constituted a highly inaccurate and misleading description, which may explain the disappearance of the page in question.
Incidentally, there's one of these beasties in one of the biological labs in Nottingham (might be somewhere in pharmacy). Apparently, they have some 'issues' with the system, too.
Kinda like environmental SEM but for AFM then? Sounds like a good idea in theory... I would imagine that the Nottingham one would be in pharamacy as I'm pretty sure they have quite a lot of AFM stuff in there.
