I loved how you brought Ren into it, comparing the two. I loved the story about Kou and the poker chips; I literally could hear him screaming "maji de?!" in that crazed!silly voice. :D :D

There were holes, probably, in what Nao could pull together from half-remembered scraps and off-hand comments. It was a ragged quilt, faded with age and stress, but the hard, bright colors of all the intensity of adolescence shone through in places.

And love for this metaphor. <3 <3

I really don't know how to respond after editing with you because I find so much that I like from reading through it so many times. And there's only so much one can take of *quotes back* "I like this because I like this," before it gets a little old, so I'll try and be selective, but I pretty much just like this whole thing. The feel, the mood, the wavy flag proclaiming "behold my sepia-toned flashbacks infused with reminiscing sighs." That was meant to be a compliment. Really.

I love the interlude between Nao and her mama. It's so perfect, and Nao's response especially is just so spot-on character that if I didn't love you so much, I'd have to hate you for getting it just that right.

Mmmm, look at all those delicious dashes. Sorry, couldn't resist. ;-)

Kou was hands down my favourite character. Aside from his wardrobe. that was in questionable taste. But he was just enough of the right kind of crazy.

I'm glad it made you go melty. i felt like i was laying it on pretty thick there. >_>

This was beautifully put together and completely reinvoked all emotions I felt while watching the drama (which fic usually can never do).
