Okay, I took a while to get up the preparedness (not a word, but ignoring that) to write this, because I don't think I have the words to express how much I adored this. Because I did. There was no question that I would love this; it hit everything that I love and adore and then some.

Let's start with the nonlinear, because you know and the world knows that I am a huge fan and I love piecing together stories when I'm given present and past simultaneously. It's such a pleasure seeing how things work out and what causes them to turn out that way. I enjoyed seeing how Yamapi worked with Erika in the past and how he works with Yui in the present, and how different those two personalities interacted with him. Loved seeing slight comparisons in scenarios like when they address each other informally, or the club scenes.

Then there's the FRIENDSHIPS. RYOPIN. OT3 FOREVER, OKAY? I love that they're still awesome friends in this, and how they initially like, uh, congrats, but really? Laughing hardcore. And then the scene in MSSL rehearsals with Ryo/Yamapi had me dying because YES, RYO AND HIS AWKWARDNESS AND HAVING TO TALK TO PPL GIRLS. FABULOUS. (Speaking of, all the Ryo/Yui references ARE FANTASTIC. SHRIEK TO THE DRAMA. SHRIEK.) And then Jin and HIS KUROKI MEISA IS HOT. I DIED. SO FANTASTIC. And all his music. oh god. lovejuice. SO GOOD.

And speaking of references, DAITE SENORITA. ALL ICOULD THINK IS WHAT POOR SUCKER GOT TO SING THAT SONG NOW? LOLOL Fantastic. ♥ And Erika/Hina. GUH i love that you had them together in this, because that is awesome and I love how Yamapi reacted to it, because he is okay with it and he's happy she's happy and LOOK AT THAT ENDING. SO MUCH HAPPY. I cannot.

YAMAPI/YUI. I CANNOT. I want to write a love letter to them and their adorableness in this. I love how nervous they are separately and then together, and how when she asks him how she did, he says there's room for improvement but it's cute and he believes in her and she's so much more than anything he'd initially thought. I MEAN THAT CLUB SCENE DISCUSSION. HE SAYS AS MUCH AND THEN SHE PROCEEDS TO BE EVEN MORE THAN THAT. LIKE YUI, COME ON. HOW CAN YOU BE SO FABULOUS. Okay i'm getting off caps lock because i'm being obnoxious. a;dlfkajsdlfkj I just, I love how comfortable it is and how she's able to show him so much emotion, like nearly crying when she hears the song that she wrote with Ryo. I cannot handle.

There's so much that's so good in this fic, and I know this barely encompasses it, especially with how incoherent it is. I mean, I haven't even addressed Erika and how amazing she is. How sure she is about what she does, and how she moves with such determination that it pretty much swallows so much around her. I loved seeing her relationship with Yamapi, and ultimately seeing why it wouldn't have worked (especially at that time and place). I loved how her rivalry with Yui was pretty much marketed, but how Yui didn't take much stock in that, but on the other hand, Erika did. (Probably a little more now that Yamapi's going to be her choreographer, cough.)

OHMYGOD, AND I FORGOT TO MENTION HOW YOU WROTE NEW YORK. I love my city, without a doubt, and I love how you had it here. It was like a character all on its own. We saw its temperament, the people that inhabit, how it can awe but frighten. IT WAS JUST SO GOOD. I loved it so.

OKAY. THIS IS OBNOXIOUSLY LONG. COMPLETELY TLDR; SO IN SHORT, I LOVED IT. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC. YOU ARE FOREVER THE JINJIN TO MY KAME-CHAN AND NOTHING CAN GET IN BETWEEN THAT LOVE. not even meisa. whoever our meisa would be.

♥ this comment could never be tl;dr. even if you did a line-by-line flail of the fic, i would read every word. ♥ honestly, i had every reason to give up on this fic so many times over the years simply because i kept on saying i would get to it, but i didn't. i even have an entire folder (full of pictures of inspiration + this fic) called "kami fic". i just couldn't give up, not for you. inadvertently (or not), this fic has the last four years of my life history written into it too. so it's like i wrote it in blood for you! :D lol

and as i said before, payback for je_whiteday 2010. cackle. ;)
