It should come as no surprise that I picked up WarioWare: DIY as soon as it hit the stores. I don't know if anyone on my f-list is going to bother, so I won't toss up my Friend Code right away. If anyone does pick it up, anything I make available is probably going to be music. That's what I'm good at, so that's what I'm going to do.

Also as you were probably expecting, I've already nerded out over the fact that this game does let you write your own music, for use as full songs (up to 48 measures @ anywhere from 60-240bpm) or as background music for games (fixed to 2 measures @ 120bpm). The song editor is pretty simplistic and only gives you four instrument tracks and a drum track, but then what in WarioWare isn't simple? At least I can actually get any ideas out anywhere now instead of having to wait until I'm home and back at one of my computers.

And apparently about half of the WarioWare microgame designers are into composing/writing or arranging music themselves. And what songs of Ashley's are available on my game are a pretty jarring contrast to the way the previous games portrayed her. Hinting at a nicer side, maybe? I don't know. It does kind of fit my own portrayal of her, though. Now to see what else comes up once her games become available.

???, music, gaming, (mike is a nerd)
