Summary: Horikoshi Gakuen is a school full of secret. All that was known of this school to the public that only kids that were special were allowed to attend to it. This is the story of a boy by the name Yamada Ryosuke that was forcefully invited to attend this school. Unknown of the school secrets, this is the start of an unfolding story of this mysterious boy life in this new school where his journey of not only journey of knowledge but also the story of his past and love would begin.
chapter 14
‘Hei! Chii! You’re supposed to help us!’ Ryosuke said at his best friend who is sleeping under a tree near their work place.
They are at the elemental ability class show site. Each ability class is given a area as a show site for the Alice festival. The elemental ability class decided to have a Mission Trap House. A single or group of people will enter the house and must reach the goals by escaping or avoid the traps that the elemental ability students will use their alice to set. They are hoping their game would be successful because this is the only activity they are having while the non-ability class has more.
‘Gees, Ryo. Why do I have to help out in this ability class?’ Chinen whined sleepily.
‘Because we need an Alice user with the strength Alice here. Since Ryu is in the non-elemental ability class, we got no choice but to have you here, I guess.’ Ryosuke said.
‘Can you two stop lazing around and get back to work.’ Keito said walking towards the two boys.
‘Ah gomen, Keito. Come on, Chii. Get to work.’ Ryosuke said, pulling Chinen up.
‘Hai…… but you owe me one, Ryo.’ Chinen said finally getting up.
Keito was watching the two boys. He and Yuto wasn’t happy that Ryosuke is now friends with Chinen and Ryutaro. They are also jealous that Ryosuke allowed them to call him Ryo. That nickname come Ryosuke’s first name while they could only call him Yama-chan from his surname. Ryosuke also spend more time hanging out with Chinen and Ryutaro too instate of with them. They nearly snapped when Ryosuke as Chinen to join the elemental ability class. Since Ryosuke promised Yabu that he will not use his alice, he signed up for the construction work instate. Chinen followed him since he did not want to participate during the event. Keito and Yuto were worried for Ryosuke since he will be working with Chinen so Keito signed up for the construction work too even though he still need to participate in the main activity.
‘Hei, Yama-chan!’ Keito call out to his friend, who is already returning to work with Chinen.
‘Yes?’ Ryosuke turn around and asked.
‘Yuto want to invite you to Central Town with us after this since we are only working till noon today.’ Keito said.
‘Gomen, Keito. But I promised Chii and Ryu that I’m going to study with them today since our exams are right after the festival.’ Ryosuke replied apologizing.
‘Ah… Never mind then.’ Keito said, hiding his disappointment.
‘I’m sorry.’ Ryosuke said feeling guilty.
‘It’s okay, Yama-chan. You need to buy anything? We could get it for you.’
‘No, it’s fine. Just go ahead and enjoy yourself.’

*Keito and Yuto are in Central Town.*
‘I can’t believe he turn us down for them.’ Yuto said, frustrated.
‘He already promised them, Yuto. he doing the right thing keeping his promises.’ Keito said.
‘He wouldn’t even need to hang out with them in the first place if he wasn’t friends with them in the first place.’ Yuto argued back.
‘They see each other every day. They even sat together. To tell the truth I’m not surprise they become friends.’ Keito said reasonably.
‘Friends, yes but best friends? Ain’t it a bit too quick? They only known each other for a few months. He wouldn’t even tell me how they become best friends.’ Yuto said.
‘Maybe they want to keep it a secret.’ Keito said.
‘Maybe your right, Keito. I’m just starting to feel lonely after he become their friend. It’s like he is abandoning us.’ Yuto said sadly.
‘Um….. Yuto, do you think Yama-chan like Chinen?’ Keito asked Yuto.
‘They hang out everyday, Keito. It’s obvious he likes Chinen.’ Yuto grumbled.
‘I don’t mean that type of like!’ Keito said.
‘You mean Yama-chan is falling in love with Chinen? That’s not possible. They are both boys.’ Yuto asked, shocked at his friend’s conclusion.
‘I don’t think it is impossible for two boys to fall for each other. You will never know if there is another boy liking you right now.’ Keito said, turning his back to Yuto to hid his blushing face.
‘Umm….. Maybe, but I think I will find it hard to accept it.’ Yuto replied.
At Yuto’s words Keito felt his heart cracked.
‘Knowing you, you will never accept it.’ Keito whispered to himself.
‘You said something, Keito?’ Yuto asked since he heard Keito whispered something.
‘No, nothing. Um, Yuto I remembered I got something to do. Bye, Yuto.’ Keito said, already running away from Yuto.
‘You should have said that earlier, Okamoto Keito!!!’ Yuto yelled at his friend’s disappearing back.

‘Why did you lied to Okamoto, Ryo?’ Chinen asked his friend who was sitting in his bed, beside him.
‘I just don’t want to go to Central Town.’ Ryosuke replied.
‘Liar. You’re just replacing Ryu in watching me.’ Chinen said, pouting.
‘Ryu is just worried that the academy would hurt you.’ Ryosuke tell his friend.
‘Even if the both of you tie me to you, they are still gonna send me out for mission. You’re just gonna hurt yourself.’ Chinen said reasonably.
‘We’ll be fine. They haven’t don’t anything yet to prevent us. If they do hurt us, we can protect ourselves and they would break their promise. I sure they wouldn’t do so.’ Ryosuke said, though he wasn’t confidence of his own words.
‘I hope so, Ryo.’ Chinen said worriedly.
‘Let’s change the topic, Chii.’ Ryosuke said, feeling awkward.
‘Ok then. Ryo, what do you do when another guy proposed to you?’ Chinen said, blushing.
‘Huh!? What do you mean, Chii!?’ Ryosuke asked, started blushing too.
‘Does he know? No way, right?’ They both thought at the same time, turning even redder.
‘I’ll go make us some hot chocolate.’ Ryosuke said, starting to feel uncomfortable.
‘Yeah sure.’ Chinen said, feeling awkward.
While Ryosuke making the hot chocolate, he can’t help glancing back since he could feel Chinen staring at him.
‘He just keeps staring at me.’ Ryosuke thought.
‘How am I gonna tell him?’ Chinen asked himself while he looks at Ryosuke.
‘I’m gonna tell him. I don’t care if I got rejected.’ Chinen and Ryosuke thought at the same time.
‘Chii/Ryo, I need to tell you something.’ Chinen and Ryosuke both said at the same time.
‘Um….. You first….’ Both of them said at same time again.
‘Nevermind, Ryo. You say it first.’
‘Oh, I was wondering whether…….. whether the hot chocolate suits your taste.’ Ryosuke said, changing his mind on telling Chinen that he like him.
‘Oh, yeah. It’s delicious, Ryo.’ Chinen replied.
‘Um…. Chii. What you wanted to say earlier?’ Ryosuke asked curiously.
‘Ah ….. I wanted to ….. to asked whether do you want to accompany me and Ryutaro during the Alice Festival.’ Chinen said.
‘Sure. Why not?’
‘Thanks. That will be great.’ Chinen said, pretending to be excited.
‘I still can’t tell him. What if he stop being my friend.’ Both of them thought.
