Zoisite

a. oh, my attraction for Zoisite was love at first sight :D I wasn't that taken in Sailor Moon before he appeared, but it was a time in my life where I looked at every new anime on TV. As soon as Zoi made his first appearance, I switched from "watching the show distractingly" to "Oooooo, who is that pretty one? Oh, and mischievous. Oh, and so obviously gay. Oh, and dangerous. Please please show me more of him!". And then some episodes later Kunzite turned up and it made it just purr-fect ;)
b. he's a psychopathic killer :D
c. I wish he stood up more to Kunzite. They fit too much the seme / uke cliché, with Zoi being Kunzite's inferior in all, and I'm more for equal relationships. Zoi/Kun is my only OTP that is so imbalanced.
d. I love it :D So it's rather easy. Except I tend to get self-indulging with him and myself when I write it, and get very, very melodramatic and to fit all the bad clichés of "guys written as emo girls" ;)
e. erm... I can't figure. I'd have to read back my fics, but most of the recent ones were written about pre-transformation Shiro from my AU, so... Not really Zoisite.
f. I sometimes have plot bunnies that come back... But some could be misconstrued. And I don't take enough time to write.

Oh yeah, Zoisite stayed male in the French dub, didn't he? I think I would have liked him a lot better, even when I was nine or ten, if they'd kept him as a pretty little man in the English dub.

That's what's always bothered me about Zoisite/Kunzite, so I can see where you're coming from. Still, I can also see how that's part of the appeal as well. Sometimes, you just want your seme to be seme and your uke to be uke.

Yes, male, but he and Kunzite were brothers... *roll eyes*
Though at least I was old enough (... okay, too old to watch SM really) to see through the obviously dubbing lie. Unlike with animes I had watched as a child where gay or sexy innuendos were erased in the translation.
And in one case, a character's tragic death was erased too : they pretended he had survived his fall but had to stay in hospital.
Sort of "he went to the Happy Farm", except it was a human character...

> Still, I can also see how that's part of the appeal as well. Sometimes, you just want your seme to be seme and your uke to be uke.

In their case it completes the pattern that they're totally opposite : fire vs ice, impulsive vs quiet, etc... So it looks good.
Still, I can see in fan-art that many fans like him more "girly" or frail than I do. I try to draw him athletic and male and fully grown-up, even if he's not muscular like Kunzite.
It's not even just so they'd be equal, it's personal taste as well.

But for writing, I know I have a tendancy to make him very angsty ^^;,, Because it's a better drive than if all characters are being stoic all the time.
