For the record:

1. Having a Trader Joe's directly across the street? Really helps with the four years of frustration at living on top of a huge construction site.

2. Paper. That has to be written this weekend. *does not want*

3. That said, though I didn't do any work on it last night, I woke up around six this morning and sort of... visualized it (no, really)... for an hour, then got up, wrote a rough outline, sorted my research into subject piles that roughly corresponded with it, and then typed up a working outline.

4. Then I went to Trader Joe's and came back with many yummy (and only one bad for me) food items. Then I ate cereal while coffee was brewing. Now I'm back to:

5. Paper. *does not want*

6. Is it bad that I declined to do anything with Marc last night because I had to work on my paper, and then I came home and did not actually work on my paper (though I intended to) and instead watched various interspersions of "What Not To Wear," "Man vs. Wild," "Say Yes to the Dress" (*shame*), "Blackpool," and "I Spy"? And even though I didn't do any paper stuff, I'm kind of really glad I didn't hang out with Marc, because I think I just needed some me time?

Oh, and
7. I officially didn't get into the class I desperately wanted to take next semester. Same teacher as now, who is only ever teaching two more classes at Dominican. I'm first or second on the wait list, and it's possible someone will get his by a bus or summat. I am very sad because my professor is the best teacher I've ever had and is my librarian hero. Woe. I will miss him mightily, and hope fervently that I get into his literacy class this summer.

Crap. Paper. *changes to working music, gets down to it*

ETA: 9. Oh, hay. "Mockingbird" got nominated for Best Romance in the Salt and Burn Awards, which was quite cool to hear. Voting starts December 8, and there are a ton of good stories nominated. So, you know... Exercise your fannish rights and vote! *displays nominee button*

grad school, supernatural, random lists, blah blitty blah
