AC/DC update!! also ACK PLZ to not mention SHOW here
Quick thanks again to everyone who indulged my quarterly(ish) bout of My Old Friend the Blues yesterday. Helped a lot to just get some of that stuff out of my head and onto virtual paper. And of course, it doesn't hurt when people look at it and offer friendship and support and advice and all that. So. Thanks.
So I missed Show last night because I was ROCKING my ASS OFF with AC/DC. And, as mentioned, I probably won't be able to watch it until this evening or tomorrow morning, so please say nothing! I'm utterly unspoiled and wish to remain so. Also, expect further avoidance of my flist.
Anyway, quick concert report. Um. It was AWESOME to the degree of FULLCAPSAWESOME. And had the happy side effect of rocking my blues right out of my system. We had side-of-the-stage stadium seats, about 13 rows back. So, while we couldn't see them face on and had to break our necks to see the screen, we didn't really need it because they were like ... 20 yards away and below. Another perk was that we could see backstage, so were able to watch the crew build and move the sets, and could see the band coming back up for their encore and stuff.
They played for a full two hours. Started the show with a dirty, wrong cartoon of them on a train, getting tricked by sexy women who seduce Angus and crash the train, and then the TRAIN CRASHED ONTO THE STAGE. With fire and a huge engine and stuff. And then just dove in and didn't stop. They hit every SPN fangirl's needs: "Back in Black," "Highway to Hell," "Hell's Bells," "You Shook Me All Night Long." Bonus SPN fanmix hits: "Thunderstruck" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" (omg are there vids and/or stories of/inspired by this song? *craves, esp vids*). Also played about a third of the new album and a lot of other classics.
And Angus stripped, which apparently he does at every show. Right down to his undies--and you all know how I feel about undies. As a result, I had to restrain myself from plunking down $30 AC/DC boxer shorts with a giant cannon on the front. Which are only $12.00 on this site. *cough* birthday *cough* large.
Oh, and when we went in, they had TVs in the hallways, and they were playing the end of SmallvilleWTFtm, and I was all, "Hmmm... opening act and/or bathroom or first act of Show?" and then realized I absolutely, positively can not hold my shit together watching Show in front of non-fangirls. So I just moved along.
Anyway. Full awesome. Dean wants me so bad right now. If only so he can sic his brain-powered little brother on me to do a mindmeld and transfer my experience directly to Dean via evil super brainpowerz omg.
Oh. Little help? I find myself sadly lacking in "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." 'Nuff said.
