The question must be asked

To my shame, I've recently spent way too much time rocking out to the Partridge Family's "I Think I Love You." (Thanks, Debbie, for your evil influence.) the_headhunter and curefreak have mocked me appropriately, and curefreak pointed me at the Voice of the Beehive cover of the song, which he referred to as "the really good version."

Now. Here's the thing. I totally prefer David Cassidy's version. True, Voice of the Beehive introduce much-needed groove--guitar, bass, funky percussion--and yes, that god-awful harpsichord solo is gone. But their vocal lacks the ... and I'm dying a little inside as I say this ... the emotion of Cassidy's rendition.

So, go on with your mockity-mock-mocking of me. I can take it. But seriously, is there anyone else out there familiar with both versions? If so, which do you prefer? And more importantly, will any of you still like me after this post?

music, in which i am a goober
