Some things to know
Heading out to California tomorrow to spend a week at my mom's, where my sister and her three kids currently are. Looking very forward to seeing everyone, but tense about the various dynamics involved, all of which seem heightened this time around.
I'll have email access and will be checking it at least once a day, so if you want to get in touch with me, that's the best way. I'll likely be doing quick lurking passes of LJ.

I'm getting my hair cut and colored tonight. I think I'm going to cut it pretty significantly--chin length or so. Tired of having it on my neck in this weather.
I keep having anxiety dreams about The Deathly Hallows, mostly revolving around not being able to get my hands on a copy, or having people finished reading it before I am. This first fear is irrational--I have a copy reserved for me at the local bookstore in my hometown, and we're going at midnight to pick them up. The second is likely to come to pass, as I will be in a crowd of kids who will want us to, like, feed and entertain them instead of locking ourselves up with our books for 48 hours. I will try to deal.
This afternoon while I was waiting for the last bit of stuff I needed for a mass mailing, I reworked the portion of my epic SPN story (God, just let me finish it already!) that needed major retconning due to certain events in the back half of Season 2. I've been putting it off for three or four months and am very happy to have it done. Tomorrow I have a seven hour block of travel time in which to write. Wish me airport/airplane productivity!
Hee. Happy birthday Jared! I love you like crazy, but please cut your hair just a little before you start shooting Season 3--this Shaun Cassidy look you've got going in that MTV thing is not working for me.
kimonkey7, I know it's a day early, but I also know that it WILL BE done soon, and since I won't be online to pounce on you with congratulations and hugs and the like, please accept my early high fives and woo hoos.
