Continuing the week's trend (but minus the giant, colored text that I don't know enough HTML to code the old fashioned way, because LJs Rich Text editor is pissing me off this morning) I announce that today gave rise to two of my favorite people:

Happy birthdays to my beloved blaurosen and to my adored baylorsr!! I will see both of you very soon, though not at the same time, and I will come bearing fabulous prezzies! I hope you both have wonderful days and happy, successful, healthy years! Huge hugs and kisses to the pair of you.

Other items for today:

I'm sure everyone's already said most of what I might say about Lost last night. I'm just going to add my theory to the pack: Caleb Nichol did not, in fact, die of a heart attack in a Newport pool a year ago. No, he did not. Instead, he's been leading a double life for years and recently faked his own death to go back to his true life's mission: Funding the Hanso Foundation. To this end, he arranged for his sexy daughter to fall for a bumbling Army guy with a cute accent and questionable judgement, then arranged to buy him off upon his release from prison and send him back to Newport, where he "conveniently" ran into a recently widowed Newpsie who gave him the means to continue his pawnship for the sport of Caleb Nichol. In short, The Vortex rules as usual, and this season it's doing it from the O.C.

Otherwise I was generally surprised by how much I enjoyed the finale, given how MEH I've been about the rest of this season. Oh, a question: Anybody else really, REALLY annoyed with Locke? I mean, if he's presented with a tape saying "This is all a mind fuck?" doesn't that automatically open the possibility that the tape he's now looking at is also a mind fuck? Why should one version be more or less valid or trustworthy than the other? I understand O'Quinn's having kittens over where Locke's gone this season, and I gotta say, I can hardly blame him.

ALSO: ETA: Did anyone else notice that that last 90 minutes on the clock started at night and ended in broad daylight? I know there are ways to explain around it, but that kind of crap drives me nuts.

As usual, my favorite bit was a throwaway line, Sayid's this time, paraphrased: "I don't know whether I'm more disturbed by where the rest of it is, or that it only has four toes."

Oh, and this is very, very important!!! In my I Spy monograph yesterday, I left out a KEY element! I completely forgot about the fact that Kelly and Scotty spend all their time in Mexico dashing about in the Barbie Dream Jeep. No joke. A pink Jeep with a pink and white canvas canopy. It's the cutest thing!

Seems like I had one more thing to say. ... It was something about music... Perhaps aimed at writerj... Oh! A couple weeks ago I was introduced to www.pandora.com, which is an online radio thing that customizes your playlists based on music you like. Type in a song or artist you like, and it plays you music that shares similar qualities. I have trouble sticking with it for more than a few minutes because I have a slightly weird way of getting used to new music--has to be under very specific circumstances or it doesn't stick--but many of my friends who are not crazy really enjoy it. /psa

And, in closing: HUZZAH for today is Thursday and tomorrow I make the journey to Fangirl Central!!
