on "living canon" and the siren call of spoilers

Here's a thing I hadn't considered about entering/embracing a new fandom: Spoilers.

I haven't been seriously engaged in a fandom with a live canon since Buffy went off the air. And by "engaged" I mean thinking about it a lot, speculating on what might happen, being impatient to see the next installment because ohmygod I have to know what happens

Speedos in general are wrong, unless they're on Olympic swimmerboys like Michael Phelps or Ian Thorpe. If FJH looked like that then I don't particularly mind.

granted my mind today is shorted out by way too much european porn, so YMMV.

I agree. Speedos are for Olympic swimmers and divers only. FJH was in fact portraying a diver in my dream, and I'm going to decide now that he was an Olympic diver, so it was all good.

Sadly, Olympic swimmerboys these days seem to prefer those bodysuits, for the sake of smoothness in the water and speed and whatnot. I've seen the Thorpedo in them.

But you know who's staying loyal to the (teeny-tiny) speedos? Olympic platform/springboard divers.

Google Alexandre Despatie and knock yourself out.
