Productivity achieved--a little
I did pick up and put/throw away all the crap lying around my apartment. I swept and vacuumed (until my vacuum died) and took out all the trash and put away my laundry (still have to hang the hangy stuff) and cleaned the kitchen and scraped the rug clean and have started lists/bags for the CA/Idaho/Wyoming trip. My computer/writing table is all neat and cluttered only with things I use actively.
AND, I had time at the end of the evening to play with my paratrooper!!
Thanks to the baylorsr sisters for my action figure, and to ramalama for his stylish attire! I'm annoyed that I couldn't get a picture that showed it, but his little shirt says "Action Surf Co," which I think is very appropriate.
So answer me this: Why does the smoke detector out in the hallway continue to chirp despite my having put a new battery in it last night? Is it just trying to kill me?
Marj told me yesterday that the kids had a wonderful time at Farm Camp. Martin got the "Most Devoted Camper" award for the attention and dedication he showed his animals. Johanna got ... I can't remember what it was officially, but like Most Involved--she knew everyone and everything and was involved in every single thing she could be. And Antonin, who was so afraid of going because his English isn't as good as the older kids', and who had a great time at camp but didn't really talk at all... He got "Best Animal Noises" because he apparently makes a really convincing pig noise. And Marj said that at the last campfire, the counselors were asking everyone what they liked best, and Antonin raised his hand and said, in front of everyone, "Everything!" Counselors have unofficially voted him Cutest Camper. And the head counselor said that even though J will be too old to be a camper next time they come, she could come as a volunteer counselor. Yay to great camps!
