Hellooooooooo internet! I'm off at PwC training again... and it's been interesting. Class today seemed to last forever, but the rest of the week hasn't been so bad.

Funny story... On the way over here the pilot announced over the PA that the planes auxiliary power wasn't working and that one of the engines wasn't starting. He was like "don't be alarmed, but we are going to pull into a parking spot on the tarmac and power one of our engines up to 80%... and the plane will start to shake, this is a rare occurrence so don't be alarmed." I think he explained they needed to power one engine to 80% to get the other one started I guess? Who knows, but that was weird.

I went into downtown Chicago yesterday morning with Susan, Tonya, and Mei Ling when we had a few hours of free time, and it was a surprisingly nice place. The first thing that struck me was just how tiny it was, you can look both ways pretty much and visually see the ends of downtown. Another thing... the taxis where white, yeh I saw a yellow here or there but they were in the minority... whats up with that? The river running through it was a nice touch, and the city its self was very architecturally and aesthetically pleasing because the buildings were sort of cascaded and the disparity made buildings more pronounced unlike NY where almost everything is tall and squashed in together. A lot of new buildings as well. We did a walking tour for 3 hours and then headed back. Oh, and some sad news… I lost my commemorative squashed penny in the shape of the sears tower that I got from a machine there .

The Sears tower's got nothing on NY! I wasn't really impressed.

This weekend, and the next 2 weeks are going to be extremely hectic for me. I get back to LI around 9:45 at night, then need to get back to the house, then need to be in Stamford 8:30 am the next morning for work. I guess then I'll drive back to LI after work, gather my things and head back up to Stamford Saturday to try a move in a bit more. Right I pretty much just have furniture in my new place. Mostly unassembled too :-/

I got assigned my first client for the summer assigned yesterday, which was then subsequently changed today, so that’s kind of exciting. My manager happens to be one of my favorite I've met up there. I'm looking forward to living on my own, far away from the parents. I'm not looking forward to the CPA test I have scheduled later this month. I've had a real problem getting study time in there, and something is going to have to drastically change for me to pass this next part I think. Starting work probably will just make it harder.

Ok, signing off… time for some sleep before another early class. Night!
