HEY THERE HEY
I have been so AWOL from LJ! I blame Tumblr. Also, Twitter. So much easier when there is a character restriction on my inarticulateness.
Really quick updatey things:
+ Nothing has changed in my life... I am still an intern in New Zealand and that is my life in its entirety this year.
+ Warehouse 13 returned to me last week and it continues to be great. I think I lost a bit of what the show was besides the Helena and Myka lovefest, though, so seeing a scene like this:
was interesting to me. Like, Myka's hair is straight now (awesome, straight looks amazing on her) and she's got a slightly different wardrobe (Tumblr has been screaming in my face that she is stealing H.G.'s clothes, I can roll with that) and this is not going to come out the right way but sometimes I find myself preferring when Myka looked really dorky and uptight.
I think I'll look at it as though she's ~moving on and having a fresh start which includes her hair being wavy and sexy and her clothes all drapy and sexy. I mean, just look at the lining on that blazer. A++
Also, Pete is in this picture (and thanks, 3x02, because I was worried that Jinks was going to be Pete's partner primarily and I was foolish to worry, wasn't I, because Jinks and Claudia as partners is just a shenanigans-fest waiting to happen), and is it just me or does he look really preppy? When did he become this preppy? Look at his hair! Look at his top button done up! Serious face!
Anyway.
+ USA and Canada are bringing their ice hockey teams to New Zealand this weekend. They may possibly already be here because there's a game scheduled for down south as well (not sure what the status on that is because of the earthquakes, though). But the Auckland game is on Saturday and I WILL BE THERE! I don't know the second thing about ice hockey -- I tried to learn the rules tonight but there are apparently two offside rules, one of which I do not understand, also I can never follow where the puck is on the rink, so I will just watch for the colours and scream when someone scores. I wanted to get seats for the Canadian side but turns out everyone likes Canada, so we have tickets for the USA supporters side instead. USSOCCER SCARF, PREPARE TO BE WORN.
The most exciting thing about the game, though, is that there will be poutine! OMG. I can't wait. I will push any mofo out of the way if they get between me and poutine.
+ Foo Fighters are coming with Tenacious D but tickets are too expensive because I am a mere $400 away from my Macbook Pro and I already saw them a few years ago when the Supertop was still around soooo...
+ Women's World Cup ended on Monday but you all know my feelings about it. If you don't, I will refer you to thrace_'s latest post about Rapinoe's hair and etc.
