jetlag is robbing me of a title.

thanks to the magic of mystical metal flying machines, I am still in 2008, a.k.a. Last year to the majority of the people who bother actually reading this and know who I am.

More to the point, I am in LA.

The flight itself was rather meh. Ended up watching 4 movies. 2 I've seen before, and 1 and a half I hadn't. Other than that, the in flight radio station played Unforgiven III even though the in flight playlist clained it was The Day That Never Comes.

And I just saw a squirrel run past the glass door.

Other than that, the food was surprisingly good for economy class airplane food. There were 2 babies as well, who were surprisingly well behaved and ended up laughing more than they were crying. In fact I think combined between them they cried 7 times on a 14 hour flight.

The smog in LA is getting so bad that it blanketed the runway and we had a near blind landing. Pictures to come soon.

The view of LA proper was obscured for most of the drive from the airport. Photos of the lovely LA to come. However, after three visits to LA, I finally have footage of the Hollywood sign (though it shows up as a white line on a hill).

After this we went to Costco to check if they had a healthy collection of PS3 games so I could at least cross one off my list. Unfortunately, they only had Pure, Quantum of Solace, Guitar Hero World Tour, and Call of Duty: World at War, none of which particularly inspire me to game.

SO now we are back at my aunt's house, and I am going to go to sleep soon to stop myself from being debilitated by a headache, and so I can wake up in time for the Rose Parade floats for the Rose Bowl, and the subsequent New Years party with high society. It's a little more intimidating when you're nearly 21 and expected to make conversation than when you were 16 and had no one expecting anything great from you.

All in all it's actually warmer than I remember it to be this time of year in LA.

The internet here is really unstable, so I'll post now and then probably leave my laptop to finish charging.

games, 2008, america, new years, la, shopping
