Art vs. Craft (again)

Does it just come down to whether or not I want to sell things?
I want to sell things. But I also crave credibility. I feel uncomfortable with the term designer, and I don't want to make a gazillion of everything, just one single perfect piece. Artist? Artisan?

It's confusing. I feel like I am about to embark and yet I don't know the name of my vessel or where I'm headed. It's not bad -- really rather exciting -- but it is unsettling.
