Why We Fight
I don't have anything else to add that's not being said ad nauseum but for this. The children of the Auschwitz survivors, and their children, and so on; that's the happy ending. They are the reason I think today is a good day.
For the rest of us? This is why globalism matters. This is why politics still count. Respect and fear the power of apathy, 'cos that's what will ultimately necessitate having to find the silver lining on days of horrid rememberance.
