(no subject)
I just bought my car, a new 2008 Honda Civic EX, at the end of February. I borrowed $12,000 from my dad, combined it with some money I had saved up, and paid for the car with a $19,500 check. Today, barely over eight months later, I just wrote the last payment to my dad. I'm done. I've been sending my dad $1000-2000 a month and I've still managed to save some money on top of that. Now without my car payment, I'll be able to put that money in my savings account.
Although I do need to get a few things before I dump all my money into savings and pretend like it's not there. I currently have a cheapo no-name mattress. As important as a good night's sleep is, I figure I should probably buy a good mattress.
Also, Lasik is reeeally calling my name.
So yeah, by the way, I've been spending my Saturday night re-installing Windows on my HTPC in the living room. I put a couple of 1TB hard drives in there, and I want to run them in RAID for backup, but that means I have to reinstall Windows. Shit's being a bitch though because I had to slipstream AHCI drivers into the install disc first. But it's on its way now.
I hope Minus the Bear hurries up with recording a new CD. I want to hear the studio version of this new song I recorded in Atlanta.
Oh. Yeah, I guess it wouldn't be the same without bitching about work in this entry. So it looks like my boss is going to "restructure" the department, and all signs point to me reporting to one of the last employees in the company that I would ever want as my boss. Once he officially announces this (because I'm technically not supposed to know about this yet), I am going to resist as forcefully as possible without getting fired, hah.
