[A recording of Yuuko singing a wistful, haunting opera melody. She has a nice voice, but the song is sad. She's playing along with the Truth or Dare game but still is melancholy over Kimi's disappearance. Recording continues until it times out.]

truth or dare, emo, singing

It was.

I once met one of the bae'qeshel telphraezzar, bards dedicated to the goddess of the drow race capable of weaving magic with their song. Your singing reminded me of her.

She claimed it was as difficult to master as wizardry or divine magic - or, I suspect, your sort of magic. I confess I wouldn't know firsthand - there were few users of the bae'qeshel magic in Menzoberranzan, and it's yet another form of worship of the Spider Queen that's closed to males.

Your world sounds very unfair, Phauran... yet when you speak about it, you seem to remember it fondly.

When one's world has been in much the same state for untold millennia, it's easier to be philosophical than to try to change it. And, quite honestly, less likely to end in death.

Besides, I happen to quite enjoy being a wizard. Luckily I was fairly talented in that area to begin with.
