I found a book in the Library about collecting thimbles. They really do have a skewed sense of what's useful. Does anyone even use thimbles anymore?

Well, I am using a couple of thimbles at the moment, but not for sewing.

Practice, mostly. I have been experimenting with putting power into small objects to make them do interesting things. I'm not sure what use anyone has for a thimble that makes one see rainbows around everything while they hold it, but it seemed like the kind of harmless, pleasant diversion that would be good to begin learning with.

Quite a while back there was a ball following some sort of tournament. The Warden happened to remark that my robe is rather old-fashioned. I realize it's a year out of date on Toril but somehow I doubt that was what he was referring to.

Someone who sews by hand, that person still uses a thimble. Actually, it's easiest that way for a small repair or something like that.
