Author's Note: These are really in no particular order...if one goes with another I will post so...otherwise...they all pretty much stand alone
This one is probably my favorite out of all the ones I have written X3
Axel knew it was going to be bad when Demyx had called him and told him to meet him at the beach in swim trunks. So there Axel stood, his feet planted firmly on the sand, arms crossed, and glaring out at the offending water, “No.”
Demyx pouted, he was standing knee deep in the ocean water already, “Oh come on Axel…it’s not gonna kill you.”
Axel looked away from the pout…he hated that pout, "I'm not sure what basic science you skipped but fire and water do not mix well Demy." His green eyes flashed to the ocean and he shuddered, "Especially large quantities of it."
“But we get along just fine,” Demyx insisted.
Axel rolled his eyes causing the blonde Nobody’s pout to turn into a scowl and he came back up to the beach. He grabbed Axel’s arm and gently tugged at him, “Come on…at least get in up to your knees or something.” He looked up into Axel’s face and then smirked, “You aren’t…afraid are you?”
There was a slight twitch in Axel’s face, “No.”
“Then get in the water,” Demyx said, moving behind Axel now and slowly pushing him towards the water’s edge.
Axel dug his heels into the sand trying to stop him…the musician was strong for someone who said they hated to fight, “N-no! I-I can’t…”
Demyx paused, had Axel just…stuttered? He blinked and moved to Axel’s side, looking into his face, “Can’t what?”
The redhead looked away, not meeting Demyx’s curious gaze. He bit his lip…he just couldn’t bring himself to say it…it was so embarrassing, “I can’t ----,” he said the last word so low Demyx wasn’t sure he’d said anything at all.
“What? Speak up Axel.”
Axel growled, “I can’t swim okay!”
Demyx blinked once. Twice. His mouth twitched in the beginnings of a smile and before he could stop himself he burst into laughter, “You can’t be serious,” Demyx said through his fit of giggles.
“Dammit I knew you’d laugh! That’s it…I’m going back to the base,” Axel shouted, summoning a portal and storming into it.
“No! Wait,” Demyx called, recovering from his laughter quickly and grabbing Axel’s wrist. He pulled him back, “Come on…I won’t laugh anymore…I promise.”
Axel glared at him but then relaxed and let the portal disperse, “Fine…but Demyx…there’s one thing…”
Demyx let go of his wrist and smiled, “What’s that?”
Before he could blink, Axel was in his face with a chakram pointed at his neck, “Tell ANYONE about this and I kill you…got it memorized?”
Demyx gulped, “Y-yeah Axel…w-whatever you say man.”
