Roxas had few memories of his time as his Other…actually…he had none. It made things interesting some times because despite his apparent age he really knew very little about the world and things. Due to a certain chain of events when he had been brought to the Organization, he had ended up under the tutelage of the tenth member, Luxord. Normally new members were put under the command of the rank just above them but since Xemnas hadn’t wanted Larxene to corrupt his ‘key’ and had realized that Marluxia probably wouldn’t have been much better…the job had fallen on Luxord. Luxord didn’t mind particularly, in fact he found the small blond rather endearing at times…especially when he showed just how little he knew about things.
The boy cocked his head to the side, looking up at the large green tree that was set up in the middle of the room, “What is it?” He tried to look unimpressed but you could tell behind those blue eyes that he was impressed. They had been walking together down the hall to go make a mission report to Xemnas and at first Luxord hadn’t realized what he was talking about but when he caught sight of the tree out of the corner of his eye he looked up.
“Oh…I guess they put it up while we were out,” Luxord commented to himself before smirking slightly and looking down at Roxas, “That. Is a Christmas Tree.”
Roxas blinked, studying the tree for a moment before looking back to Luxord, “What’s it for?”
Of course, the downside to Roxas’ lack of any memories was the amount of questions he tended to ask. Still Luxord was one of the more patient members so he explained, “You decorate it and put it on display during the holiday known as Christmas…I’m sure there’s some meaning to it but I’m not sure what it is…only that it is a custom on most worlds to put one up.”
“Why would you decorate a tree,” Roxas asked, looking like Luxord had just suggested something ridiculous.
Luxord opened his mouth to answer but instead closed it and smiled, “I’ll show you…close your eyes.” Roxas frowned but obeyed his superior and closed his eyes, “And no peeking,” Luxord added over his shoulder as he moved towards the wall, plugging in the small plug that ran up to the tree. As soon as this was done, he returned to stand in front of Roxas, glancing over his shoulder and casting a time dilation on the tree so that it would appear as if nothing had changed.
“Alright, you can open them,” Luxord said, grinning at his plan, “and I’ll show you a bit of Christmas magic.”
Roxas’ eyes opened slowly and a slight frown crossed his face, “It’s the same as bef--,” and he was cut off by Luxord leaning down and pressing his lips to the smaller Nobody. His eyes went wide at the kiss, surprised by the action but for some reason he couldn’t pull away…he…he kind of liked it. Luxord was warm.
That’s when something caught his eye and he pulled away from Luxord, the lights wrapped around the tree sparkled and reflected in his vision. It was…magical. “H-how did you---“
Luxord chortled, leaning next to his ear, “Magic.” He brushed past the young Nobody and made his way out of the room.
“Bwuh,” Roxas remarked, obviously confused, his brows furrowed together and he frowned. He hated when Luxord did that, “Get back here,” he demanded going after him.
