For years, I've been listening to Youtube clips that my ear (untrained, natural talent mutant superpower) said were slightly sharp. I could never really nail down exactly why, or by what means, or even that it was happening at all; I've mentioned it to a few people and I think one person might have said they'd heard it too, nothing solidly reliable. Well, after... um... after getting on a Tim Curry jag on Youtube, I watched a clip from Clue and it happened to come across ever so slightly thin and high-pitched. So I went looking for that and found out exactly why and how. Being strongly suggested that one isn't imagining things is always a nice feeling. I checked the FPS of the Youtube vid and it was 30 FPS. Hmm...
