So for this week at the office I haven't done much work.
Monday I got a laptop (oddly enough is the same specs as my home desktop minus the hard drives) and a cellphone. Both provided by the company.
Tuesday I spent all day learning about Waterjet cutters. Also I find out that I'm headed to Washington on Sunday for 3 weeks to check out the project out there.
Wednesday I got this cool mapping program loaded and started using it to understand the project reports and where everythign is going. I also got some high quality airel photos of the St. Lawrence river to aid future dives :)
Today I kept at the mapping program and learned a bunch about the office's pinpoint GPS equipment. Also got my paycheck, but I'll forgo the amount here out of modesty. ( I'm still not getting Sid a pony)
Tomorrow I should start asking about the logistics of getting myself to the jobsite since I don't know what to do after I arrive at the airport.
Also I've been setting up online accounts to pay off my utilities. Though I can't set up to receive electric bills online till after I've gotten my first one. But I won't be around to get my first one.
And I need to find out where to pay off my credit card statements, since I won't have a mailbox when they arrive.
