Had somewhat of a rough night last night (Someone walked out on us) but for the most part I just let everything be and continued on with the night. But it was still kind of stressful. So what's a girl to do? Puddle jump! It was pouring on my way home from work, and my shoes were doomed anyways. Half way home my shoes became so soaked I went "Screw it" and started actively looking for puddles. At first I wasn't really jumping, just walking through puddles. During the last five minutes, though, I was full out jumping with glee like a five year old on sugar. I even took down my umbrella slightly early to enjoy the rain. It's fun just to enjoy nature, even if it's rain. I only wish I took down the umbrella earlier, because I was only able to enjoy it for 30 seconds before I had to go inside and feed my "starving" cat.
As much as I love rain and was playing in it earlier, thankfully it cleared up. Lacey's moving day was today and I was commissioned to help. So two and a half hours of sleep later and I am on my way to start hauling. The weather turned out VERY nice for the move, with blue, sunny skies! My arms and legs are feeling a bit like jelly but I'm actually kind of content with that. See, I had this revelation today that just made my day. I've been out of my parents house for nearly 7 years. 3 of those years were with Kate, 2 with Lacey, and 2 by myself with no one to support me but me. It's just a nice feeling to experience.
Sadly though, I had to bail out shortly after the "men" started doing all of the heavy hauling. Had to get home, shower, and sleep a bit more because *grumble* I have work tonight. I have to go to work and talk to Gwen. I have to tell her that she did not give me the Thursday that I asked for off (even after we discussed how we could do it without me losing any hours) and that I need that Thursday off because I am off running to a bridal shower. And then I get to get berated on why a crew person walked out on us. (Really, she was being a hypocrite and was looking for excuses to walk out) I personally think we did wonderful last night. The store didn't look like absolute shit when the morning shift walked through the doors. Though...it didn't look totally kick ass amazing either but after a $1,200 night I think it's okay that it's not amazing sparkly and lick-ably clean. I ended up sort of taking the shift over from Kristen (insert another grumble here) but ah well, what are you going to do.
Anyways it's time to officially pull my bike out for the season and enjoy a bike ride to work! I'm not counting when I actually pulled it out because I was sick and had to run back to work after just coming home (took the store keys home, D'OH) and it was COLD out! Couldn't enjoy it at all! So...bye!
