(no subject)
It's 92 degrees outside, with a heat index of 94. I know to some of you, (mainly the people who live in Cali) this is nothing, but damn, for us people up north (new york) DAMN I am dying!!!
I can't even sleep!! I work the overnight tonight, I need my sleep!! Most people sleep during the night when it's cooler, no I have to sleep during the day when it's freaking near 100 degrees!!! I've tried the cold shower. That, while absolutely blissful, did not last long. Once I dried off, I was hot again. I misted myself with water and sat in front of the fan. Again, once I dried off, I was hot. Hell, my room is fucking hotter than the rest of the house because I have the fans running pulling the hot air in. (The one fan isn't small enough for my window, so I have the little window fan lacey loaned me in the window, and the bigger one (...Funny enough, Lacey's as well) pulling that air from the first fan onto my bed)
I tried sleeping on the couch, where it's maybe a degree or two cooler than my room. Nope.
Finally, I poked sears online to look up AC prices. I figure, I have a check on the way, which will be about $300. I can fucking afford a cheap AC as long as it cools me down.
Plus, I do have a longhaired black cat. Sure right now she is shaved so it's a little more bearable for her, but still!! I haven't seen her since the temps reached 85. I think she's under my bed? I am not sure.
