No more cats in bags!

ARGH. Well, at least now I know better than to think that using LJ's mobile page will actually let me post an entry. Because it doesn't. And it ate the post I wasted 10 minutes typing with my thumbs. What a waste of amazing coordination :(

That aside, I do have good news! Which was the whole point of my original post before it did a disappearing act.

Thanks to the wonderfulness of dria_uesugi and the awesome feedback I received, I've decided to begin posting Post Hoc in chapters on a regular basis, one chapter a week, every Friday ^_^

This should kill two birds with one stone: it'll help me pace myself with the revisions and additions I'm continuing to make, as well as break up the monstrosity into more manageable pieces. Additionally, I've had people approach me and ask for Post Hoc in chapter form for their own personal use, so this will take care of establishing definitive breaks in the text for those interested in going that route :)

I do plan to eventually release the whole story as both a single .doc and a .pdf file for download, for those like me who have Kindles and love to dump stories on them, so keep a lookout for that in the future.

For the moment I'm establishing a one-chapter-a-week posting rule, but in all honesty I imagine this will grow to be more frequent as I near the end of my revisions. I'll be the last person in the world to sit on a completed story just to follow a silly schedule when it'll just feel like I'm holding out on people. That would be mean :P

I'm still debating on whether I'll be posting it on LJ, AO3, or DW, which really all comes down to word limits. I don't have any chapters at over 10k words, not yet at least, which makes LJ a safe bet. But I also don't want to be constricted to a word limit that might affect the flow of a chapter later on, which makes DW a good choice. For archiving purposes I like the thought of having it on AO3, but... oh! Apparently AO3 DOES have an awesome comment/reply feature, which was the only thing I was afraid I might be losing. Alrighty, AO3 it is XD

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay I finally get to share Post Hoc with everyone! :D

Edit: Well, um, crap. I feel like a dummy. I could have sworn I signed up to get an invite from AO3 ages ago, and had gotten one, but I just went back over a year in my email and nothing :( Looks like it'll be DW then!
