Hendrikson was awesome yesterday. They have an incredible stage/auditorium there. The stage was huge, they had two-story stadium seating, and a control room above the audience. I never got to go in there, though. I badly want to do sound and light, but no one ever teaches me. Damn male chauvinists. I wore this wicked headset for awhile, that allowed the techies to communicate. Then about halfway through the play, I had this little exchange with Bryce...
Him: (talking into headset) I'm stage left. Yeah, she's right here next to me. (to me) Um... can you hear them?
Me: Er... no.
Him: Yeah... I don't think yours is connected anymore.
Me: ...Oh.
Him: We switched headsets. Yours is different now.
Me: So, you're saying, I'm carrying around thousand-dollar equipment for nothing?
Him: Um... yeah, pretty much.
Grrr. Damn. Just when I was starting to feel all important and professional. Anyway, then we got to sit in this room with black walls (surprisingly titled "the black box") as this guy critiqued the play. He had some good points. I'm glad I'm not in the play, because I just KNOW that he would have turned to me and said: "You need to be LOUDER." In fact, I'm positive he would have.
So Ms. Mora posted the Wimberley cast on the website, and Forrest didn't make it, which he was very happy about. I think Heather should have made it instead of Lani, though... she was a much better Caroline, in my opinion. But, oh well. The website didn't say who got Lotty. I really hope it's Jordan. She deserves it, she's perfect for that role.
Good news! I am not coughing as violently as before. Well, I am, just not as often. I felt much better after I produced some rather large wads of phlegm this morning. (Which I'm sure you all wanted to know.)
I have nothing to do today, except watch this movie I recorded on Sci-Fi called Slipstream. It looks interesting, and has Sean Astin in it.
Peace out.
