We love our cat

Does anyone else love their cat as much as we do?  It's insane how spoiled Sadie is.

From your icon picture it looks like Sophie is a Himalayan? She is very pretty as well.
I was reading in your journal a minute ago and chuckling over the part where it said Sophie had gotten into the fireplace and covered herself in soot. Sadie does the same thing all the time! I can't keep her out of the dang fireplace. Then I have to wash her, which she DETESTS and it's like an hour long process which takes the cooperation of both myself AND my husband. She's tiny but she's a fighter. *sigh* Makes me wonder if I'm ready for motherhood. There are actually some funny pictures of Sadie being given a bath posted in my journal a ways back, if you want a good laugh. She looks pitiful.
I'm a sucker for flat face kitties too. If I had my way I would have a bunch of Persians and Himalayans running around, but my husband says "NO, one cat is enough."
He actually hated the way flat faced kitties look before we got Sadie. I had to fight him on it, but since she was my Christmas present, he ended up giving in. Now he thinks normal cats are weird looking and I think he loves her more than he loves me!

She is Himalayan and apparently she's a relative of Martha Stewart's cats. I don't know if this is true but that's what her previous owner said. She had to give her away because of allergies. I had planned on spending the money for a kitten, but as luck would have it, I found (at the time) a 2 year old Himalayan (free, with shots!) who needed a new home. And she's big too - around 10 pounds.

Sophie is always getting into mischief, like the fireplace episode. I've had to take her to the vet in the past for hurting herself by the things she gets into.

Good job on being able to at least man handle your cat enough to groom her. Sophie has strictly prohibited any grooming of any kind, not even a comb can go near her. She will rip my face off with the hind claws.

Look at me going on about my cat. I'm 25 yet so elderly.

Heh, I do the same thing. She is seriously like my child. And I'm only 26 don't feel bad.
