Year: Second (maybe Third? but I think Second)
History & Bio:
Ryohei takes things a little too seriously. (Okay, a lot too seriously.) He takes things so seriously, sometimes (like boxing or his sister) that he comes across as silly, instead. Some people, like his sister and... okay, not a lot of people, but his sister finds it endearing. Some people find it incredibly disagreeable, however, like a group of upperclassmen that decided to use his sister to lure Ryohei into a really obvious trap.
He loves his sister. The trap worked.
It's years later, but some traces of that incident still linger--a scar on his forehead and a promise to his sister not to fight. It's kind of a weird promise, considering how much Ryohei likes boxing and hasn't stopped training in it; it's really more like a promise not to get hurt.) It's hard to notice the little details just by looking at him, though; it's easier just to see the loud teenager who yells a lot but doesn't talk loud enough when he isn't screaming, and loves boxing, and loves his sister, and tries to make people join the boxing club, and insists on doing everything full blast, no exceptions. Maybe they'd feel sorry for him if they noticed it. He wouldn't want them to. (He'd want them to try boxing, maybe. More fun than pity!)
His grades aren't so great, but he works at it to keep them high enough for club activities. And his social life is better than you'd expect! He's even sort of friends with Hibari! (Though Hibari probably won't agree.) He's got a pretty good life, generally.
