“Hey! Shishou!!” called the young brownish-black haired girl, running so that she could catch up.
“Hmmn?” he said stopping in his tracks.
The girl finally caught up.
“I just finished watching those DVDs you lent me the other day, and it’s so cool!” said the girl, out of breath. “Of course anything made from Korea is cool!” replied the Korean boy.
“Yup, it was so cool that I decided to make one of those my own version. It’s ok right?” “Uhhh…..ummm…yeah sure…”
“Seriously? Thanks Shishou!!!” and with that Philippines happily went home.
==============
Philippines was happily adding her own touch to her favorite Koreanovela when the doorbell rang. She went to get the door and surprisingly it was China, her long time best friend.
“Oh! Chai*what brings you here?” asked Philippines.
“I just thought of visiting you-aru” answered her friend.
“Come on in.”
“Aiya, sorry for intruding-aru”
“It’s ok I don’t mind. I was just thinking of adding additional characters to one of Shishou’s masterpiece.” She said as she led China to her redecorated room which would soon shock him, or maybe not.
“Oh you got permission already-aru?”
“Yeah, and I’ll add a bit of my own twists and turns to make the story much more interesting.”
hey entered Philippines’ humble room, or is it?
“Aiya! You’ve changed your decorations again-aru?”
“Of course! Shishou’s stuff is the new fad today so I have to change my on-the-verge-of-being-a-hikikomori room into a Korean one.” He just gave her a sigh as a reply.
China had seen this room change for a couple of times now. From “Spanish drama”, to “on-the-verge-of-being-a-hikikomori”
theme, and now this…
He looked around to see the drastic changes. He settled his eyes to the only place that haven’t changed. Well at least THAT didn’t change he thought to himself. That spot was dedicated for American stuff. It’s not like she still love America, it’s just she can’t resist the things he makes. Damn Colonial Mentality! She doesn’t care about America. America should die for all she cared but not the stuff he makes… no…not those…
“Come to think of it… you always change your room when you’re addicted to something new-aru.” “Hmnn…yeah” she said as she sat in front of her desk to continue what she was doing before China came.
“You used to like Spanish dramas-aru”
“Well that’s because the heroines remind me of my self when I was little…you know like Marimar…young…free…and…stupid….we’re both easily swayed by those empty promises…” sighed the girl. “But we both got our revenge…only mine was not as graceful as hers…”
There was an uncomfortable silence for awhile until China continued to talk.
“Then you changed your preference to Japanese animation. Which nearly turned you to something like Japan-aru…”
“Well yeah…3D can be boring sometimes...and I only tried it for a change but it was so good that I was drawn into it. Plus the theme songs are cute.”
“And now you’re addicted to Korea-aru?”
“Yes!! I mean who wouldn’t be? It’s so great! There’s balance between romance, comedy and drama! Even Shishou’s music is great. It’s very catchy. ” Philippines continued to babble her “master’s” greatness, while China just stared at her. China remembered something to make her stop boasting about her so-called “master”.
He cleared his throat and said “Aiya, I forgot to mention America and Taiwan-aru.”
“I can’t help it! My body reacts before my mind could think. That’s why the next thing I always remember is paying for those stuff. It’s his entire fault, he made me think that all the things I do is crap and his works should be he only thing I should invest in. So you can’t blame me. And did I ever become addicted to Taiwan?”
“Yes you did, remember Meteor Garden-aru?”
“Well that was before I discovered Hana Yori and B.O.F. I thought that for once that girl had finally made something that’s good. But it turns out that she just copied it.”
“Spain, America, Japan, Korea even Taiwan, those nations are close to you or had relationship with you so no wonder that you also like their stuff…but…what about me-aru?....When will you appreciate Chinese Sitcoms-aru?”
Philippines just gave him a small, silent smile.
END.

Author’s note: *Chai - I just thought of giving China a nickname…
*Shishou means “Master” in Japanese….I don’t know what master is in Korean so I used Shishou instead….Orz….
About the Chinese sitcoms… they aren’t very much popular here in the Philippines. (I’m not too sure; this may be a personal opinion…)Although I saw some in TV5, I doubt many people watch those… i only watched GMA7 that why the only Spanish/Mexican drama that i know is MariMar and Rosalinda and those aren't even Spanish dramas... orz
ah... this is my first time making a fic.. so please be gentle. criticisms are appreciated.
