Wow, harcore indeed. Thanks for writing this. I love Kate so much that I never even thought she might have been thinking other things than just "admiring" Jack for his courage and everything. Maybe I don't wanna see that sight of Kate, so I'm happy that you wrote it. It's possible that she might have been thinking this, after all, she has known fear that Jack knows nothing of or will ever know in that same sense.

Wow - thank you. Really. I was incredibly skeptical of trying to write Kate (me and her just don't get along very well, it seems) - but that you, in particular, enjoyed this, being as skilled as you are in portraying Kate... just, wow. Again - thank you :D

Thank you! I'm glad you felt that too - I never bought Jack's little speech there, and when we saw it for sure in the flashback, I was pretty convinced it was all for show.

AHHH. So good. This is such a refreshing take on that scene and so perfectly written! I'm a little bit incoherent now, so forgive me! Wow. I love this side of Kate and you captured it brilliantly.

Thank you! I'm really glad this side of Kate worked for you - I've had a lot of trouble relating to her character these past few seasons, and I think it boils down to her edge being... softened. I liked when she was a strong, self-sufficient kind of woman, with her own agenda (and in a sense, I think she started to reclaim some of that at the end of S5), so I tried to give that back to her as early as I could think to (which happened to be as early as I possibly could ;) )

Gaaaah, the imagery and the viciousness of Kate's POV here is incredible. Kate is hardcore here, and I love it. What a fascinating snapshot of the character's inner workings.
