This morning I woke up in the 加藤 (Kato's) house and I was freezing my ass off, it occurred to me then that it's much colder in Shikoku than in Tokyo, and I would have died trying to sleep outside. I mean really. All morning, from about 7 when I woke up, till about 9 or so when I got up and left the little room I heard the constant barking of like 13 dogs. I go outside and take a look and they are mostly all in cages but, upon closer look they all had scars, apparently from fighting with wild boars. He also had the two boars that he was keeping, for eating? for breeding? still kinda unclear.
As soon as the wife sees me she says, "Do you want breakfast?", I tried to say no but she already had it all prepared. 美味い (Umai!). Rice and Fish, 玉子焼き (Tamago Yaki), 納豆 (natto), and tea, man it was a feast- I still feel so indebted to them, but I couldn't really return the favor like I wanted to. Anyways, I was feeling it was about time for me to be going and I told them thanks for everything and that I really appreciated it. He offered to take me to the nearest P.A. but I just said that if he could drop me off at the nearest station that that would be more than enough. So he dropped me off and we said our goodbyes, but not before we swung bye the hospital? ...Where his wife and son were, she worked there and I guess he was helping out at that time too.
I told him that I wanted to take a picture of the three of us, and he had his son take it for me. After that he dropped me off at the station and we said our final goodbye, and that was about the end of it. Words of wisdom from
Take a chance, go for broke.
Use what you are given in this world, your penis and your wit.
Cause there's nobody as generous as me out there ya know.
Lie if you have to, tell the girls what they wanna hear.
Reference:
Umai means delicious, great!
Tamago Yaki is fried egg with some kind of magic flavor added to it that makes it insanely good.
Fermented old smelly sticky soy beans, I love them now, I will definitly miss Natto after I leave Japan.
