(no subject)
Today was my one day off from work this week. I did only one thing that I had planned on doing, which was to get my hair cut by Kate at Phia. She did a really great job, though it cost a little more than I had anticipated..
Afterward, I had some ice cream from Jeni's and came home for a while before going out with Kat, Meredith and John. We went to Zen Cha for tea, where Kat's internet friend Kevin met us because he lives in an apartment right above. Zen Cha Tea Salon is still the most relaxing and peaceful restaurant I have ever been to.
Then we went up to Kevin's apartment for a bit of Guitar Hero and lattes with bourbon. There was also dancing and lying on the floor (I lay on the floor at least, because this is what I do), and talk of how far I could potentially be thrown.
And then we went to the house John is staying at in UA (John is the French intern Kat worked with at the ODP). And dear god this was the most amazing house I've ever been in. I can't even describe what I was feeling as he gave us the tour. There were rooms I can't even name, the master bedroom was probably the size of the first floor of my house. And we drank Heineken and swam in his pool under the stars for hours.
I do not have the words for how perfect today was. I'm sad that it's over and I have to go to sleep and get up in the morning and go to work and make pizza.
