Huzzah, Oakland! This is especially good news after the hash they made of their reactions to Occupy when it was active there.

Friends of mine are trying to get Oakland to go much further. Land has been identified for a tiny homes encampment (it's small land, so eight tiny homes and a common house). Some of the funding is already in place. Bigger projects are under consideration.

Berkeley's situation right now is shameful beyond description. Thanks for sharing this.
