only like a week left! :(
The subject line describes how I feel at the moment. Sad that I'll be leaving soon. This summer has been so different than the last; last year I knew pretty much the entire camp. I had two close friends and then was friendly with everyone else for the most part. This year I know like no one outside of the two six week programs (6 Week Regular and Six Week Advanced). But those individual classes are really close- I know everyone in my class really well. We've lost 4 people due to people being kicked out because of drugs/alcohol and so there are only 9 of us. 5 in my crew (who I spend SO much time with) and 4 in the other crew. Beth, my roomate, is also in my crew and is probably my closest friend here this year..we spend literally every waking hour of every day together. It's insane, lol. But she's amazing. We had a heart-to-heart the other night and I'll really really really miss her when the summer's over. :(
Look forward to being home for a bit so that I can talk to all of you some more. But I'm going down to Florida for a few weeks after I'm home for a bit up until school starts, so I don't think I'll actually be home very much.
I hope that I can get my movie up online for you all to see when it's completed and NYFA sends me the DVD or raw footage. I think you guys would appreciate the humor (especially the gay jokes..there are many...and they're the best part of the film).
It's funny how like everyone that works here is involved in film. Even the caterers! We found out today that the people who cater lunch and dinner for us are actually all actors. One was in my editing teacher's movie (it's SO good..the best student film I've ever seen) and another was one of the girls on the float with Ferris Beuler in Ferris Beuler's Day Off when he sings during the parade. How awesome is that? LOL. I want to watch it and find out which one she is and how she looked back then.
