The Busiest Week

I can't believe how busy I am right now. The sleepout is done finally. We had over 350 participants, which is so amazing. We earned roughly $6,000, which I am impressed with. It was a night of friends, speakers, and great music. Tab did a beautiful small service on Sunday morning after we were packed up. He is such an eloquent speaker. I am so grateful to him for that. I am very proud of the work I did with that. I think I am on the committee for next year's as well.

The Cable is my new undertaking. There were some mumbles and grumbles over the first issue, but if they realized that the Cable didn't even have to exist if our rag tag group didn't revive it. It is hard to hear people complain about something you worked sooo hard on for them. But, there will always be people like that, who sincerely don't realize the work you put in. That is life. I don't do these things for praise.

I put in my notice that I am looking to the Editor-in-chief job for the Cable. Ben was sort of in that position for the first issue, but never really stepped up and took over like I expected. The person in that position should be active in the construction and be there to constantly give feedback and know what the status of publication is. I hope I can handle the responsibility if I am given the job. I am soo busy right now.

I took headshots for Bat Boy today. What a fun job that was! It did however, make me miss being on stage so badly. I am taking my hairdresser's one year old son's photos this Friday! I cannot wait. We are going to have him play in the leaves in this beautiful fall weather. I have never done young children photos like that and am very excited.

So, the busyness is only going to increase soon. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be dedicated to teaching drama and acting to elementary school kids at Grant for 40 minute Shakespeare. Monday and Wednesday nights are dedicated to the Cable meetings. If I get into the winter play, more nights will fill with rehearsals. In the spring my internship will begin and will take 12-15 hours a week, on top of teaching. Then the spring play will take over nights. Oh right, I still have school work.

I can do this. I have never been this busy in my life, but I think I can handle it. It is a lot, but being organized will help. This weekend I am overhauling my room and my schoolwork. Getting ahead this weekend will be key to keeping up. Luke gave me a to-do list pad so I can not panic.

Now I must be off to bed, as my sleep has sucked recently. Tomorrow is another busy day!
