Katherine Is 2 Months (Well 10 weeks, 1 day)

Yesterday was Katherine's 2 month WBV (at 10 weeks). The appointment was a couple of weeks late since I had wisdom teeth taken out the previous week and couldn't make it to the doctor before then.  The appointment went very well.  Katherine is a healthy and  happy baby.  I was especially glad to see that the pediatrician  and I are on the same page  when it comes to immunizations.   Seeing Katherine get her shots was so hard.  She screamed as soon as the first needle went in which absolutely broke my heart. The rest of the day she was so cuddly and sleepy.  So far today she still seems a little sore and sleepy.

Her stats from yesterday's appointment:

Weight:  10 lbs 11 oz. (30th percentile)
Length:  23 in  (55th percentile)
Head Circumference:  15.25 in (30th percentile)

She is my long lean baby which she definitely got from my DH.  I don't think I've ever been described as long and lean.

Here are some pictures I took around her 2 month birthday.

Milestones this Month:
- Started to smile all of the time, at people, at her toys, at the dog
- Reaches and grabs the toys hanging down on her play mat
- Holds head up when on tummy
- Loves baths
- Gets excited when she sees she is going to eat
- Loves to stand when we hold her up
- Likes to watch her mobile
- Takes a bottle (important she is going to day care)
- Still breastfed
- Babbles and coos (we have the best conversations :) )
-  Sleeps through the night!!!!  (most nights from about 10 - 4 am) (she goes back down after the 4 am feeding until she is up for the day at 7)

Well I go back to work in 2 weeks.  I have such mixed feelings about this. I love having a career, but I have enjoyed staying home with Katherine so much.  That first week away from her is going to be tough.  Luckily though I will only be working 2 days since I am going back on a Wednesday and it is an off Friday week.  Since going back to work isn't enough of a change, DH and I are going to a wedding in North Carolina that weekend. My mom and dad are coming to watch Katherine.  So not only am I going to work that week, but I am also leaving her overnight.  I trust no one more than my mom though and know that she will absolutely fine.

Tomorrow its off to Jacksonville to see FIL.  He's battling cancer so DH and I are trying to spend as much time with him as possible since things don't look good.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!
