Second Omen ♛ [Action]

Backdated from the 18th to the present.

[Ever since Hellboy landed in Luceti, his mission hasn't changed. He's gonna get these people the hell out of here if it's the last thing he does. This was the kind of job he hated; on his own, forced to do his own legwork without any kind of social ties, and the fate of a whole village of people hanging on the outcome. He'd much rather just be pointed at whatever thing needed its ass kicked and get the job done. This... this was crap. On its own the place wasn't so bad, and if it was just him, he wouldn't get so worked up about it. But all these people taken from their homes and families, trapped here for years, just didn't fly. Even if it's hopeless, he has to do something, even if it's just for the sake of distracting him from other things.

More postponing the inevitable, what he does best.

On Wednesday he heads back into town from his exploration though the forest around the immediate village area. There, he found nothing but some kind of spirits tied to what seemed to be a type of elemental energy. Every now and then, their whispers would break his concentration and he'd end up muttering under his breath to quiet both the spirits and his mind. At first it was intriguing, but now it's getting downright annoying.

When he gets back into town, his head's a little clearer. The first place he goes is the smithy, just to see if his gun might've turned up. If it hadn't, that's okay. It has more sentimental value than purpose, even if it has gotten him out of a bind or two in the past. But it's always good to check.

After that, he walks South until he hits the barrier, then follows it East for five days and five nights. He doesn't stop to eat and rarely sleeps, but that doesn't faze him much. On the sixth day, he finally finishes his trek down the mountains.

Now, he finds himself standing on a sandy beach, a trail of hoofprints unraveling behind him. He looks out into the blue expanse of ocean with a sense of mild interest. There's something out there, drawing him in with every retreating wave across the sand. Whatever it is, he knows it can't be good. The feeling in the salty air is that of death. Lots of it. And he's sure it's got something to do with the ruins he'd read about. Human sacrifice.

Somehow, he needs to get himself a boat and see what he can see.]

((OOC: This post is massive so I'll break it down. On the 18th HB's at the smithy looking for his gun, then he's heading out to stake out the barrier for a greater part of the week. Eventually he hits the ocean where he'll be running into lists_to_port where we have plans to do some exploring. Feel free to tag him at any point.))
