Even for a vampire, there is something very off with this place. I've secured a job. I like working and I forgot how much I like keeping myself busy. I find, sitting down with a good book doesn't completely do it for me, here. My mind wanders too much. There's Elena to think about and now, Damon. Everyone else back in Mystic Falls. Is Elena better off without me? I can't answer one way or the other. But, I miss her. Is this what my diary has come down to? I need to find an actual journal. I miss writing. And this is strange.

Interesting weekend of sun. Merry Christmas to those in the City. Late, I know. I guess I'm not very social here.

I saw there are people who wanted to celebrate Boxing Day. And New Years is Friday. I didn't think I'd be ringing in the New Year here but, I will make of it what I can.
