Okay, this is the part where you're going to judge me.
I started reading "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" the day before I started my bar review class...which means that I never finished it, and it's hiding somewhere in my new apartment (and I really need to find it). But I've got to tell you, the bit I got to read? Hilarious. It might be the only Austen-esque thing I have a shot of getting my boyfriend to read (thought he at least appreciates the BBC P&P adaptation, and understands that Colin Firth, in that movie, in that green velvet coat, is who I want to be the father of my children. Or Booth. He knows he can't beat Booth. Boyfriend is smart like that).
No judgment. :) Love Austen. Love Colin Firth, who IS Mr Darcy. (and Alan Rickman in the Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson? wonderful) And I love Natalie Portman too.
So ... this may be a hoot of an Austen remix. You (and my daughter -- I visualize the two of you as being clones in spirit, sense of humor and glorious sensibilities) will have to go see it and let me know what you think.
Did you ever check out Defying Gravity? Another great series that deserved a chance but didn't get one... sigh.
Have a great holiday -- and I will be watching for a couple fan fics. (hint hint :)
My husband actually finished Pride and Prejudice and Zombies before I did. It is such a fun book especially if you like Austen. When I read that Natalie Portman was going to be in it - I may have danced a little.

Ms O meet my daughter Morgan.
You two would really be dangerous in the same room together.
