Sometimes the Universe just steps in...

... gently even.
I have been putting in 50 to 60 hr weeks between the college Writing Center, the Tues/Thurs grammar course, and tours in DC Fri/Sat/Sun. Last Wed evening my right eye went schitzo. Scared me! The vision went sideways, would not clear, lasted 2 to 3 minutes. Took the next couple of days off and made a dr appt for today. It hasn't happened again and I was back at full speed Sat and Sun downtown and all this week up to today.
I got to my 8 o'clock class. Then got to the 9:45 eye appt. They did all sorts of tests that involved all sorts of eye drops. Good news is everything checks out fine. It was most likely a migrane (sp?). I have never heard of a painless, vision impairing only migrane but ... it's the thing that makes the most sense. Oh well!
Bad news is: whatever the drops were they used are playing havoc with my being able to see! Or at least focus. So, seeing as a writing tutor who can't focus is not much help, I had to call in "sick" (as in unable to read) and ,,, I have the afternoon off?
Totally, out of the blue down time -- and I feel fine.
Sometimes the Universe just steps in.
I'm going to just say thank you -- and enjoy it.
