*mad and ferocious barking greets the doorbell* *after a few moments, Jack opens the door, looking suspicious* Oh! Hi there. *grins and opens the door wide* Come on in!

Glyndwr: *is a corgi* *sniffs around suspiciously but settles down soon enough, wagging his tail and trying to stand up to reach her hands*

*a bit surprised by the dog* Oh! Dear me, he's an excited one. *smiles and pets Glyndwr briefly before walking inside*

Yeah. He's a good boy though. What can I do for you today, Miz Smythe? *gestures to a seat* Want something to drink?

*sits down and smiles* A lemonade would be lovely, thank you. I've just come to see how your dessert projects are coming along, and I brought you a little gift.

*wanders into the kitchen and returns with a lemonade* Well, I haven't been doing much baking recently in favor of decorating a nursery. *grins* I figure if I do it, I can manage to avoid any religious undertones that might creep in by accident. *smiles* A gift?

*thanks him for the lemonade and laughs* I see. I've had a lot of free time recently and thought I could do something useful, so I made these. *pulls out a pair of green knitted baby boots from her handbag*

*takes them and laughs, sticking his fingers in them and wiggling them* They're so tiny! *looks very pleased and leans over to give her a quick kiss* Thank you!

*blushes a little* Oh, you're welcome! I tried to pick a neutral color so they could be for a boy or girl.

*chuckles* Green's good. I'm doing the nursery in green. *shifts to get into a more comfortable position* It's a boy, we've found out. He's always moving. He's gonna be like me.

*smiles* He's going to be lovely then. Have you thought of a name yet?

Yeah. *smiles a bit sadly* David Ianto. After Ianto's father.

That's a good name. Preserves the memory of the namesake in a way.

*nods* That's what I was thinking. He lost his father so recently.

Oh, I'm so sorry. Did he know about the baby?

*shakes his head* No, we hadn't told Ianto's parents yet. Something about pregnancy in men freaking them out.

Well it is rather rare in this century. But it doesn't matter where the baby comes from, as long as it's born into a good family. *smiles*
