*laughs* We'd have to wait for it all to cool down, and I don't know about you, but I'm quite ready for that cake. *gets up and takes the cake out of the oven*

*bounces to his feet and goes to 'help' which is... mostly being in the way*

*wanders into the kitchen* Evelyn, that smells wonderful! -Oh. Captain, what brings you here?

The Captain is here to learn a thing or two about desserts. *chuckles and removes the pan from the cake*

*eyebrow* And just how much help have you been? omg you didn't ruin the cake, did you?

He totally stuck his finger in the dough! He's been a very good student. *to Jack* And since you're standing in my way to the plates, why don't you take them out, hmm? *pats his arm and moves to cut the cake*

*yay cake!* *walks further in and leans against the counter, watching Evelyn* *to Jack* Why the sudden interest in baked goods, Captain?

*sheepish grin* Sorry, Evelyn. *grabs plates and starts setting the table* I wouldn't say it's a sudden interest, exactly. I've had interest in the topic for ages, it's just recently I've found a live teacher.

Ah, good. I'm sure Evelyn is glad for the opportunity to teach again, even if it isn't about 15th century monarchs. *smile*

*smiles* I certainly enjoy passing on my knowledge, especially to a young family. *cuts the cake and puts pieces on the plates*
