Preview for Round 13 and your opinion :)
So the winners for Round 12 are posted! Thank you again for an awesome Round and beautiful icons!
I said before that I had a theme in mind for the next Round and now I am really exciting to hear your opinion about it. Since in November and December the dark days are coming where you sit at home by the fire and dream and tell stories I was thinking about making the next Round a "fairytale" Round!
We had the theme "myths and legends" before but "fairytales" is still kind of different, because legends might have a true center. Nevertheless in my opinion fairytales also fit the historical themes because they are often set in an historical place and time. So for this I would exclude modern interpretation of fairytale but return to the old, traditional vision of them.
This means for icons you could pick a fairytale you love and make icons of that. (Maybe this time I could extent it from 20 to 25 icons with different themes and more time, this is an idea at least). For this you can scan picture from you children books of fairytale or use the disney version or other movies of your fairytale. As always pretty open.
So I think it would be great gift also for christmas to use this challenge to remind us (if we have to be reminded) of all these amazing fairytales. I really hope to get many people to enter so we have a wide range of fairytales.
But first: What do you think of that? Any ideas for the concept? Or do you like the idea?
