Hey everyone,
Here's my every 6 months or so update.
I wanted to leave you with some pictures of what the latter half of my 2016 looked like. I saw the highest navigable lake in the world, dealt with altitude sickness at 15,000 feet, saw the majesty of Macchu Picchu, beautiful waterfalls, a gorgeous gilded church that truly took my breath away, the equator, the Panama Canal, a salt cathedral, and one of the largest squares I've ever seen. I ate empanadas, alpaca, guinea pig, and drank more Mate than should be allowed.
I went to the JFK assassination memorial and the George W. Museum in Dallas.
Most importantly, my brother got married and I gained a sister!
Mi familia Chilena!
Valle de la Luna, Bolivia
Under a waterfall and freaking my mom out(also known as a swing over a canyon in Banos, Ecuador.
The Equator!
The Presidential Palace, Lima Peru
Macchu Picchu! Truly breathtaking.. The idea that the Incans were able to construct something like MP when they did and how they did and that it has remained to this day is incredible.
The Panama Canal - an engineering marvel.
An oblea in La Candelaria in Bogota, Colombia
Guatavita!
Each tour guide I had asked why I came to Colombia and my answer was always that when I was a kid it wasn't a safe place to visit and now since the FARC had been confined(and now there's a peace deal) I had to see it. Now, I hope for Venezuela.
Catedral de Sal in Zapaquira
The JFK Assassination memorial - because after the bachelor weekend the historian parties!
The George W. Museum
He put a ring on it!
I MET SANTA!!!!
My people and my heart.
2016 was a tough year for many people, but it was a good year. I met wonderful, beautiful, giving, and caring people all along the way. Ask questions, be kind to one another, love one another.
A blessed New Year to you all.
